Volume 1 : The Tower of Hope

In Caracas, Venezuela, four teenagers – the Gracias – have to dig deep to find the wherewithal to support their family.  Guarding the secret of their origins, they are growing up in an immense tower block in which poverty and insecurity make daily life into a living hell.

This gigantic vertical squat experiences the worst when terrible floods hit the country.  The tower becomes a target of the most predatory desires and the Gracias are in the front line of the fierce resistance.

At the same time in France, at the foot of the Pyla dune, two childhood friends – the resourceful Fany and the shy Shaun – are experiencing the painful onslaught of climatic change. They have to watch helplessly as their comfortable lives violently collapse.

Separated by thousands of miles, their lives coincide – and converge on a single hope: to survive and live again in an ailing world that is hit by chaos.

A story of  young people determined to recreate the world in the face of unprecedented dangers.
